Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin ceramic pieces that are custom made and directly bonded to the teeth being treated. They are a great option for treating misshaped, chipped, stained or discolored teeth, or teeth that have spaced between them. Dr. Gibson will first meet with you to find out exactly what improvements you would like to see in your smile. In many situations, he will take impressions of your teeth so a mock-p of the desired changes can be made. This important step given you an opporutnity to evaluate proposed cosmetic changes before they are even made!
When you are ready to proceed with the propsed changes, Dr. Gibson will prepare your teeth for veneers and send a mold of those prepared teeth to our ceramic artist. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to create your veneers. During this time, Dr. Gibson may provide you with a set of temporary veneers depending on the situation. Once the final veneers are in place, you will have the sparkling, beautiful smile that you have always dreamed of! |
